2000 Celica Parts Interchageability
Just wanted to complement you guys on the site. Well done!
On to my problem, I purchased a wrecked Celica GTS and am looking for an engine member; does anyone know what vehicles will interchange with a 00 Celica. I'm in Japan so parts are fairly easy to find (with the exception of the ZZ Celicas). FYI Seems the majority of Celicas are rental cars here..... |

Welcometo the forums. I don't remember if Japan gets the Toyota Matrix or not, however, I know you have the Corolla. Both of them come with variants of the ZZ engines (1ZZ and 2ZZ) so if you can find either of those you are good to go.
If Celica's are rental cars there (which is crazy! lol) you should have no problem locating a wrecked one at a junk yard. Good luck.

Thanks for the response....
I figured the Matrix may be the same but I haven't had time to check yet.
I did however find out that the lower arms for the non-superstrut are the same as a Vista/Corona. The member is slightly different though. I'll just wait until I can find a salvaged one at auction or one turns up around here. I'm getting cheap in my old age.... FYI Really looking forward to driving this thing to see how it compares. I currently own a 96 Type R, a 93 180sx, 99 Mark II, an AE86, 97 Nissan Cedric, and a Daihatsu Hijet (a Cushman) 4WD |
