headlamp condensation

K- havn't posted on here in a long time. I have a crack somewhere in my headlight (housing) and I'm getting condensation.. is there any kind of sealant (sp?) I can use for this or do I just have to buy a new headlight?

go to a craft shop and get some clear silicone sealant.

Remove your headlight and put it in the oven at about 250 and let the old silicone get soft so that you can seperate the headlight. Clean out all the old silicone as best you can and put the new sealant on. Put the headlight back together and you should no longer get condensation

This is good if the seal is bad, if theres a crack, you need to seal up the crack. A windshield repair place, might be able to fix this.

actually this plastic is very durable. I had to put mine into the oven to open it up to paint the housing black and nothing melted except for the sealant.

wrapped the head lamp assembly in a towel DO not let it catch fire, adn then separate the glue, then remove any debris or old glue from the area, then take some aquarium silicone(seals great) or whatever type and put a uniform line all the way around place the peices back together and let sit for atleast 4-5 hours with pressure on it if you can.

Thanks for the replies- I will try the dealership first- then start baking pieces of my car... They will replace it under warranty, even if it's cracked? It's under warranty for 100k miles (pre-owned) is it still eligible? If so, that would be awesome. I will check into it today while I'm out. Thanks guys!
