Engine Swap

What would be a good swap to do on my 86 celica gt-s. I been thinking about the 3sgte but i am not looking forward to droping 6++ on it. What about the all trac is it turbo? And how much would i be looking around to do it?

Or should i just build up my GT-S motor

The all-trac is the 3SGTE. It is a 2.0 Turbo engine, the latest JDM one puts out about 255hp.

I think the GTS has the 5SFE? That is the 2.2 N/A engine. The swap isn't too bad, I would do it for you for no labor. Otherwise, yes you could build and turbocharge your stock engine.

Enough for me to buy a garage and lift. Its hard to do the swap on the driveway and its getting cold. I don't mind doing a rebuild though.

I also have a celica gts 91. Do you have any idea in what a 3SGTE engine swap would take as far as having to change parts. I hear the 3SGTE bolts right on to the GTS. Please respond; by the way, nice job on that engine.

If you keep your tranny, you'll need ECU engine and wiring harness. You may need the rear engine mount too but I'm not sure.
