Engine Manufacture Date
I have a 02 Celica with an 03 engine (2ZZGE). Currently I am rebuilding the engine and when I went to get the head gasket set they asked when the engine was manufactured. Apparently there are different gasket sets based on when the engine was manufactured. Well, the only information I have on the engine is the serial number. I called 2 Toyota dealers and they don't have a way of matching a serial number up to a manufacture date. Does anyone know of a way I can get the manufacture date on this engine? The serial number is 0126449.
