budget modes

I have a budget of 10k to mod my celica gt 2001. I have a target horsepower of 400 to 450 on normal gas. Any suggestions including moter swaps or mods and trannys would be helpful.

Personally.... I don't think you'll get to the numbers you're looking for with that budget...

why and how

its front wheel so unless its for drag purpose get ready to skip and oversteer

and not gonna happen on a gt engine without like a stage 3 turbo kit and rebuilt tranny and such which then still will not give u 400-450

i dont even believe the GTS can get those numbers

you would have to swap the engine, which is not worth it

C2 power makes a stage2 kit that puts out about 280-300 hp. Looks like to be around 8800 CAD. Have fun with that.

detonation city man... you need to think at least 91 oct on that kinda power man!!! you are talking more than 200 hp per liter here man... that's not a good idea on 87..

Sleve kit, lower compression piston, stronger rods, valves, P&P, aftermarket ECU, injectors, fuel pump, returnless to return fuel convertion, ignition upgrade, IC, turbo kit, oil cooler, tranny cooler, gauges, dyno time etc. 10k just enough for parts if you got good deals.

Next to the engine, you might want to consider your drivetrain. I'm pretty sure there's no way that our OEM tranny was made to withstand that kind of HP. You'll definately need a beefed up tranny with LSD to handle high HP/Torque. There's another 5K CAD easily...

lil more work and money to get it going, but it is possible. I know someone who could get you a motor if you got the cash.

Same guy had a silvia conversion, only other car that made me shit my pants besides a 99 Vortech supercharged Roush Mustang.

Wanna go fast, stay away from celicas.

ive heard of droppin that tank skyline engine in the 240
but the sr20 is so versatile and prolly leaves more bay room
i was thinkin for my next car, pickin up a s13/14 and goin the same direction, maybe a s15 headlight conversion too :)
