if you don't know about CAI and easy shit like that which i learned when iw as like 12, go to fuckin www.howstuffworks.com and type in car engines and READ. Half an hour of your time will enhance your knowledge greatly.

ddr i thought its a doctorate degree... so its a jumping game... then thats cool give you some exercise....

Cheap mods....well nothing is exactly cheap. You could probably hook up with some cheap coilovers and drop the car an inch or so. CAI as mentioned above. Spark plugs and spark plug wires just to make it run better. Maybe a cat-back if you want it to sound better and get more air out of the engine.
