yeah, you should have overdrive button, well gt auto is more economical than gt 5speed, ive driven gt auto and it kept shifting around 4-5. so could be normal but still should go to 7000.

Nope, i've got a 2000 Auto GT-S, and it revs (on auto) up to about 7800-8000rpm before it shifts to the next gear. on the 'M' mode, it goes up to about 8,200 rpm before I press the 'up' button to shift into the next gear.
What you could do: 1. Are you sure you have already 'floored' the accelerator all the way down? 2. have you installed any aftermarket pedal? some aftermarket pedal have longer shape than our stock pedals, and believe me those extra lenght will got in the way, when you try to floor the gas pedal!!! 3. from my experience, the carpet itself could be the nuisance, and what i have done, i cut the carpet so that it won't interfere with the gas pedal. Good luck |
