clicking sound?

Alright so I have a 2001 gts and starting about a month ago when I either press on the gas or let off the gas I hear a clicking sound front the front end. It's not the cv boots or the motor mounts, I've already checked those possibilities. So I was wondering if one of you could shed some light on this and help me.

Wheel bearing I though would make more of a growl or something of some sort,this is just a short little click.

its hard to tell without being there. usualy when i had a clicking sound it ended up being a cv. but you said the cv's are fine so. could be the wheel bearing, could be afew other things.

Is this clicking sound a constant sound or is it just a few clicks and it stops??

a way to check if it is your bearing is if there is lateral play with the assembly. jack the front sides up some (makes it easier) and see if you can pull or push the wheel towards you or the engine. if so, then you need new bearings.

Re: clicking sound? a way to check if it is your bearing is if there is lateral play with the assembly. jack the front sides up some (makes it easier) and see if you can pull or push the wheel towards you or the engine. if so, then you need new bearings. __________________ mods: modified factory airbox, k&n panel filter, removed back seat, stg 2 clutch, c-one style frp high rise wide bulge scoop, pure white driving, highs, and fogs, 6" stubby antenna, filled in rear lp valance black housing head and tail lights, de-badged, adjustable coilovers(2-2.5 drop) after market center mount fog lights. need to do: mount hood diffusers, re-do axle back "keep racing on the track and off the roads" 0-60: top of 2nd gear
