And another problem. Ugh.
Okay, so I ordered 4 new ignition coils and I just put them all in.. The car starts but idles for less than a second and shuts off.. I assume it's a bad connection somewhere or maybe the wrong coil? I am not sure what else to do to test them. Very new to cars still so sorry for the lame question lol. The old ones obviously still work.
EDIT: Just pointing out I had the misfiring codes on 3/4 coils .. So thats why I bought new ones but the new ones won't work at all. Last edited by KS001 : 07-18-2010 at 12:37 AM. |

wish I could be more helpful, but I'm pretty green on this subject too. C'mon other celi-speed members. Someone has had to have heard of a case like this huh??

Re: And another problem. Ugh.
maybe if you restate the problem... I am assuming you have another thread somewhere, but I don't feel like looking

Re: And another problem. Ugh.
Yeah sorry I didn't really explain it to well..
My check engine light is on and it is saying that I have 3 cylinders mis-firing. So I went online and I ordered 4 new ignition coils to replace the old ones potentially fixing the problem.. They came in the mail today and when I switched out the old coils with the new ones and try turning the car on it will turn on for less than a second and then just shut off. The old coils still work however.. Any thoughts? |

Re: And another problem. Ugh.
well probably there is something wrong with the new coils you got... do they look like they are the same coils?
