Re: Check Engine Light....
Squish unhook your battery for 5 min let it reset and then plug it back in and it should all be well.

Re: Check Engine Light....
I have a reader so I know what codes pop and I can also clear them so I have no issue.

Re: Check Engine Light....
Bomz made a CAI?? holy shit.. I had no idea. Thats so affordable. Thats way cheaper than a brand new AEM.. Well at least you didnt go SRI. I mean I have to give her props for that. No offense J. They are amazingly easier to install though

Re: Check Engine Light....
Yeah, gimmie a sec I'll find the links. It's what J has but mine is blue and CAI. They don't call it a BOMZ on the box but it's pretty obvious that it is... speaking of which, I still haven't taken out the stock parts from my trunk, LOL

Re: Check Engine Light....
its ok.. the hatch is still big enough to throw a few carcasses back there. oh and its ok I found a site that sells them for 90 bucks. LOOKS just like the AEM model. Such bullshit the mark-up for name brand. Seriously if its not the battery or a loose clamp.. I dont think your engine would even run if that Valve under the Throttle body wasnt sealed. Umm.. its prolly not a cracked hose because on your stock intake it would have idled funny. I dunno.. My engine is a new engine.. when I crank it, it idles a 2000 rpms. and when it heats up, it'll idle at 1000.
Its Timed to high. |

Re: Check Engine Light....
See it could be a cracked hose because after the OEM is taken out and the hoses are moved the crack could then be made or opened more.

well I see your point there.. Thats True.. but Eh.. seems a little far fetched. I mean its always a possibility. But her car is an 04.. cracked air hoses after only 6 years doesnt seem like a toyota design. It is worth mentioning as a scenario. But I wasnt very gentle on all of my factory hoses. because from the second I bought a celica I wanted it to have the CAI. So I wanted all the stock shit out. |

Hey thats a link on the bomz ad saying no extra parts needed but that Ecu hose has a flexible tube coming out of it. The bomz package didnt show any adapters or the new Ecu hose. Are you still using the plastic one? |

Re: Check Engine Light....
Oh I know it isn't likely but you never know hoses are a tricky thing. Squish if you lived closer I'd definitely give you a hand with this one. I don't know what to say. The biggest thing could have to do with the fact that during the change the ECU didn't take to the mod right away and it may need to be reset again so it reads with the new air flow. This is just an idea cause I know that the Celica ECU is a learning ECU and it will learn the tendencies and changes. It may have been that the ECU didn't have the time to prepare or learn.
