Re: Engine Gone:(
well it depends on the year of the motor, and how long its been since it last ran.

Re: Engine Gone:(
Quote:
I have used JB WELD many times and even had to do a roadside repair on an aluminum oil pan myself that had a pencil sized hole punched in it and in my opinion, if you use this product correctly, patch it up and your good to go with no worries. After I patched the aluminum oil pan I kept a close eye on it for a few weeks, no leaks at all, brought it to a shop for permanent repair and the welder said the patch is most likely stronger than the pan itself so we left it and never had a problem. Where I work we use this product on commercial hot water heaters (90 psi working pressure) when they get old and spring a leak, until we can order a replacement, and at first I was skeptical but let me tell you this stuff is great, never failed us! On your pan I would drain your oil (leave draining over night so it’s not still dripping at all) and clean the area VERY WELL (brake clean is what I used), scuff up the surrounding area with course sandpaper so the JB WELD can adhere, apply, let it set up and your done. I love this J B Weld stuff. I can’t guarantee anything but I am very confident! Just remember CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN before applying any adhesive. Dirt

Re: Engine Gone:(
jb weld is great stuff it is a must have for off roaders. i have seen people use it to path suspension parts that broke off roading. they used and drove back to their house at highway speeds with no problem.
