2000 GTS disappointing dyno results

hey guys, I went to a dyno test a few days ago....I was expecting much better results than what I got. My best run was 150.1 whp or something like that. I will post dyno graph tomorrow. The car seems to run very lean.

Here is the modds I have, Injen Cold Air Intake, TRD header, TRD catback, and lightened flywheel.

So now I want to get some kind of A/F controller so that I can tune it properly, I know the best way to go is Apexi Power FC, but that is kind of out of my budget right now, so I was wondering if I can get Apexi SAFC, would that work?

thanks!

safc will not work the oem ECU will change back to the stock settings.

TRD header will not make much if any power it is made to be used with the high comp pistons only. P&P your stock header and you will get better gains.

Wow. That is disappointing.

Is this an auto or 6 speed?

OMG thats terrible. I dynoed 160 stock... The Super AFC will help. You can actually wire the V-AFC to control lift when it engages and when it disengages. Those will help a little.

How many pulls did you do? was this your first one? Did you only do one pull? Was the dyno SAE corrected? Was the engine fully warm? Lots of variables.

well I did 5 runs, and this was the best run, and yes the engine was warm since I drove it around 100 km from my house to dyno place...and I don't understand how some of you say SAFC won't work on celica, and some of you are saying it will work, so which one is it...???

and here is a dyno graph

there was a big thread about the safc on newcelica a long while back. safc will hold your settings for a bit, but the ecu will eventually cancel them out. that's the entire reason why people are getting pfc now and eliminating the stock ecu

as for your low dyno results, could be a few things... dirty mafs, broken lift bolt, possibly bigger heavier wheels/tires, and the engine temp can definitely factor in as well

I'm still alive and well - just working like a 8year old in a sweatshop - my affectionately called 'Factory Defect of a car's best result was a 163 - what most cars get stock - and i was modded with a injen cold air, and blitz exhaust, probably with a dirty filter etc etc...i just liked the noise it made
