How do I remove the gauge cluster?

I am trying to remove a gauge cluster on my friends Celica. It's a 7th gen and am not sure of the year. Is it straight forward or do I need to remove lots of things to get to it? The problem he is having is that his gauge cluster went out for a week and then he hit a bump and it magically came back on. Then a week later it went out again. I'm assuming there must be a lose wire (ground or something).

If someone could help me out with removal I'd appreciate it!

Re: How do I remove the gauge cluster?

Take off the two screws on the surround part. Then once you take those off, there's about 4 more on the actual gauge part. Then it should just pop out.

Re: How do I remove the gauge cluster?

Hey everyone, just had a quick question. To remove the cluster, is it the same with the gen6 or major difference??
