I Never Had A Oil Leak Before With My 2000 Celica Gts.
I Installed The Greddy Supercharger And After The First 5000kms A Oil Leak Developed, I Realize The Crankcase Pressure Has Increased With 10psi, But I Cannot Isolate Where The Oil Is Coming From, Usually Around The Frt Of The Dipstick Tube Where It Goes Into The Block And Frt Of A/c Compressor. I Have Checked Even After Driving Home And Back To Work And A Small Amount Of Oil Has Started. Does Anyone Have Or Know Of Any Known Oil Leaks. The starnge thing is I am never down more than a half a litre of oil after 5000kms. Cheers |

CK, don't know if this helps, fwiw. I have a 2k GT and have had a long ongoing issue with smelling oil after running the car. NO drips, traces etc. No spillage on the driveway or when parked. Just when I stopped the car it always smelt of burning oil. Maddening. (Visibility is really limited with these cars on the back of the engine by the exhaust manifold.) Bottom line, I have had a leak by the chain tensioner for quite some time. I have always lost the same amount of oil you have seen for years now. Between changes, it goes from max to min. Plus the smell. Thought it was an issue with the engine blocks on the 2k to 02 models. (Well Documented = ovalling) I am the original owner of the car since new (Nov 99) and had the retrofit tensioner installed in 03. I truly believe that when this done it was not done correctly and the car has been this way since. Now, the car does not smell after a good run (subtle, but when you get out of the car you know) and I'm now losing NO oil. Still monitoring but thought this board would like to know. Have 150k on my GT. Still a hoot to drive. :-) (You can only see if the tensioner is leaking from below the car! Shining a light up from the filter to the back of the engine,, It's subtle!)

Re: Oil Leak
i.ve done some research and on the 00-02 celica gt they instaled diferent intake manifolds than celicas 03-05. those intake manifolds ause head gaskets to burn out and thats what i think your problem is a bad head gasked ... one way to check is if you open up your antifreeze tank and see if you have any milky white dots in there and do the same with the oil. see if there is any milky white dots in there ... what i think is that your oil is going into you antifreez lines....
