need help with turbo

i am looking into getting ether a turbokit or a supercharger kit which one would work better for a 03 celica GT manual trans.... and where a can get a good deal on ether one of them,\ 50% of it is going to be paid by my sponsor.

I wouldnt get a GT-S for any induction. The 1ZZ is a better platform. Less horsepower but lower compresion. The 2ZZ runs a higher compresion ratio and turbos and superchargers dont like that at all. The 1ZZ runs a lower compresion ratio which turbos do like. Not saying you cant turbo a 2ZZ bc you can it would just be easy, safer for the motor and easyer tunning for the 1ZZ and potentioally the same numbers as a 2ZZ.

The 2ZZ runs 11.5:1 and the 1ZZ runs if memorie serves me right only 9.5:1

But if ya got a sponser just spend the extra mone and get a 3SGTE

It is tru 1zz engines run on a lower compression ratio but its slower. 2zz may be a bit harder to tune but its well worth it. A turbo kit can get uup to 260 hp but the the turbo has to spool first. I would go with a supercharger for gt-s because you'll get acceleration off the line and then the once the lift kicks in even more acceleration. But did you notice that the Gt turbo produced 20 more Ibs. of tourque and 30hp less then the GT-S? Tourqe is what moves you faster. All hp does is keeps ya going. Also the GT-S kit is almost a grand more. All you got to do to the 1zz to make it all around better is to port and polish the head then it will beat the 2zz.
