gt from gts
i no most of the differences of the gt from the gts but i dont see y the gts redlines at 8200 and the gt redlines at 7200?? does the vvt-i still kick in at 6grand or does it start sooner since it redlines at less rpms?

its a different engine man...different engines have different redlines.
GTS has VVTL-I where is is lift for lifter bolt...if i remember correctly vvtl kicks in around 6000 rpm...and the red line on the gt-s was changed to 7800 in 2002 because engines were blowing

no vvti (gt) has continuous intake timing, you will feel the "boost" at 4000rpm or so, but only because thats when the car will reach its max potential in torque etc.
I think Lift uses cam-shifting/phasing or something of that sort. GT does NOT have your "boost" of power, it has continuous power curve. |
