turbo?

anyone who has thrown a turbo on their 7 gen gt-s any advice on what to get would be appreciated. Also, with the vvtl-i whats the risk of a blown engine with the forced induction?

Re: turbo?

I have a gt/vvti i have looked deep into a turbo kit from c2power, the kit looks awsome and for a vvtli you get a nice gain but then price becomes an issue?

the same with all mods is that you push too far and sh1t does break just laws of physics!!
but then on the other hand if money is not a problem then upgrading to low compression wisco pistons a descent head gasket and what ever else you can upgrade internally. will give you power and realiability.

I reckon you can push maybe 200bhp on a stock gt engine as long as u use good gas and dont whack it all the time. (with turbo) not too sure on the vvtli maybe 250 at a guess.

Re: turbo?

Oh man, its a 50/50 chance of something going wrong. Ive just seen and heard of too many stories to stay away from turbo.

money will solve your proble, but in the end you will always have issues, and expect to get a second car, as yours will visit the garage very often.

Just like bassil said, laws of physics, if you want a turbo buy a car that is built for one.

Re: turbo?

I have 200HP on my GT with no problems. I take long road trips with it (1000km in a day) But it IS more of a garage queen now and I have a truck I take to work etc.
