Fog light?

So after I got home last night, I noticed my left fog light seems to be burnt out. I looked at it briefly to see about replacing it, but am not sure a) whether i can replace just the bulb or have to replace the whole unit, and b) how exactly to do either of those jobs, something much easier done while on jacks? I can't seem to find much while googling around, i found entire assemblies i could buy.. though i'd prefer just the bulb.. Any help would be appreciated.. 2000 GTS - stock fog lights

Re: Fog light?

i dont have foglights myself (yet), but my guess would be if you jack up the front, you could get a good look at the back of the whole unit and there should be a way to remove the bulb without removing the whole thing. usually its a twist and slide type locking mechanism. check the filament. if its broken, then its definetly the bulb, if its not, it could be the ballast or the wiring. if you bring the old bulb into kragen or autozone they will get you a new one. hope that helps.
