Its seems that everybody i talk cant to seem to give me a straight answer on wat am about to tell you guys maybe you guy might know seens i have a toyota celica 2002 automatic VVTI can i swap a engine with a toyota celica 2002 VVTI-L AUTOMATIC IS THIS POSSIBLE its automatic 4 speed need more info.

yes it is possible, but it's useless. a 5-speed manual transmission GT is just as fast if not a bit faster than an auto GT-S (VVTL-I). if you're gonna do a swap and you're looking at getting the VVTL-I, go with a 6-speed manual transmission. if you don't know how to drive standard, learn.

it would be wiser to just turbo/SC your GT if you want real gains for the same price if not less. Swapping a 2zz wont give you the gains you want because of your transmission, and even then for the price turbo/sc is a much more viable option. I thnk Blitz has popular FI kits for the 7th gen

buddy, auto gt > auto gts. ive drove them both and seen it. Keep your GT and get a 6speed.
