Re: cold air intakes
They honestly don't do that much on the GT. Makes it sound better and breathe a bit better, but as far as performance it is so subtle. Just go with whatever one you can get a better deal on.

Re: cold air intakes
exhaust will give you about the same minimal gains as the CAI. Personally if I had only $300 to spend right now I would go with a short shifter kit (assuming you don't already have one). Changes the shift and driving feel of the car completely IMO. Of course you aren't going to be going any faster but it sure feels nicer.

Re: cold air intakes
That kit is good, it's B&M. Others worth looking into are TWM and TRD. I would not go with any other brand then those.

Re: cold air intakes
IMO if you can shift fast/good (overall a good driver) a SS would be a waist of money. My friends GT has an injen CAI and you really don't feel much till he hits around 5K rpms, when the intake really starts to roar and the butt-dyno feels a small pull. I have a friend with an AEM aswell an that one seems to start pulling around 3-4Krmps. On my Celica (which i dont have anymore) i had the BLITZ SUS SRi and boy did that thing roar. Much better than the other both and i never had to worry about oiling the filter
