Need Help!
Two things:
1. I put a cold air intake on my 2002 toyota celica GT. Now my check engine light is constantly on. I know there's a way to stop it from lighting up due to the CAI but how? The Air Flow Sensor is installed and is good. Would appreciate your help!! 2. I think that my clutch is about to go but unsure due to the fact that it fixes itself. Ok, so I drop the clutch from high RPM and my tires spin. then when I shift into 2nd and push on the gas, the RPM's go up but the car doesn't speed up. it'll do that until I let it set overnight (I guess to cool down) and then it doesn't do it anymore......?? then if I drive it hard (Cruisin with my other celica buddy) it will do it every now and again. Is that a sign that my clutch is wearin out? I need some help on this before I purchase a new clutch. Thanks for your help everyone.

Re: Need Help!
^^ i dunno if you wanna put a plastic bag where the little nipple is. the engine gets hot and it'll melt the plastic bag. as for your CEL, when you unplug your battery and reconnect it, it takes approx 2 full cycles for your engine to see if there are any problems. So wait a few days.

i didnt conect it diretly to the metal i still got the 6" vacum hose on the nipple and i wraped the plastic around the end of the hose, that should be good for now, tomoro i ll get a vaucm cap for it. i did a lot of driving today, no engine light, when i first put it in the light came on within an hour. I still need a bypass vale is there any diiference between aem & jdm?

AEM is a company; JDM is Japanese Domestic Market. Personally speaking, a bypass valve is not necessary unless it rains ALL the time where you live and there are pot holes a foot deep full of water. I've driven through some pretty bad puddles and no hydrolocking. However, if you do still choose to get a bypass valve, go with AEM as it has been tested to work.

I checked the throtle body and there are no "Little Nipple's" that are open. I traced all the hoses but they are all connected. I do have 2 plug's that are not connected anymore. I was thinking about just running a straight wire and jumping the connection but I wanted to be sure if that's what I should do before I do it. I don't need the blow the CPU. Any idea's?

Re: Need Help!
yes dont jump it yet. only one cable is suppose to be unpluged thats the one with the blue end and the black one suppose to be plug back into where ever you pluged it out. the little nipple i was telling you about is about six inches down and slightly to the left from the opening of the throttle opening there use to be a vacum hose their plug it up. if you cnat find it let me know ill get some picts up if i can. i had a look at the 1zz engine today, its there.
