Re: Springs
the drop is actually 1.1 in the front and 1.2 in the rear. none the less, the drop is nothing significant. if you're on stock 195/60/15 rims and tires, it's not a big difference from stock ride height. I'm sitting on eibach sportline and i can see the difference and feel the difference. she will only have to worry about scraping if she's going off a big bump/dip in the road or if she decides to get a body kit other than TRD.
i don't have pics of what the drop looks like with 15's/17's/18's but in terms of installation, it's simple but you have to have a spring compressor to remove the stock springs. you also need to remove all the plastic interior pieces in the trunk to access the mounts of the rear shocks.

Re: Springs
offset should be around +35
how are the road conditions where you guys live? i wouldn't go too low profile if the roads there are like roads here in oshawa, ontario. lots of pot holes and alot of construction going on. I would suggest around 225/40/18

Re: Springs
the only difficult part about lowering a 7th gen is the sway bar links at the front. Just be carefull not to strip them or fuck up the boot. If you've ever lowered a car before you shouldn't have any problems

Re: Springs
Sewer caps by her street are all raised because of flooding by the bay...but everywhere else is pretty flat...and i have never lowered a car before...i do a little bit about cars...but this is not my forte

In that case at the very least have a buddy help you. Doesn't matter if he know's more than you or not you just have to have Captain Obvious at your side. The one thing I found when trying to figure shit out on your own is that a second person is key. They just notice shit. Good luck and if its your first time expect the first side to take well over an hour. It will get easier from there though you just have to figure out what the fuck you are doing first. Have fun ![]()

Re: Springs
on the back struts have some one stand and press down one suspension it makes it alot easier to get the strut out i found out the hard way they are kind of a bitch to get off but other than that its a lot easier than u think.

Re: Springs
^^ the simple solution to that is using a hydraulic jack to push up on the struts.
if you have air tools with an impact wrench, it will be much easier as well.
