i ask some ppl with celicas and they say 225 rub when u turn hard and sum say no and i also want to noe if it matters how wide i go in the back because the back wheels dont need to be turned can maybe 235 go back there

it depends on your drop but i would stay on 215, and drop to 205's or 195s for winter

i'm sitting on adjustable koni yellows with eibach sportlines (1.8f, 2.4r) with 235/40/18 tires on 18x7.5 rims
Yes, i have 235s on all 4. I would suggest getting new shocks/springs before getting 235 tires.

i have been driving 195 since i had the car. All i did was purchase good tires. In some cases mine handled alot better than people with 215's. Guess it depends on quality of tires mostly, wider tires are just for "looks" as you say. celica doesnt have the power do back up those width numbers.
