need help about blown gasket

hey guys i.m new to this site and i need some help...i have a 2000 celica gt and the other day it was leaking oil, i took the car to pep boys and they kept it over night... the next day they told me i had a blown gasket and supposely due to that it has ruin my whole engine...they told me i'm going to need a whole new engine but they are not 100 % positive because they think they kno sum1 who is an expert that can look it over again... too make a long story short i was wondering will i really need a new engine??? or is it fixable and how much would it cost to fix it... and if i do need a new engine what will be the best aftermarket engine for me to get... kuz if the stock engine is gone im planning to hook the car up... so please help me guys

take it for another opinion...

there is no after market options for your car. you can go to a GTS motor but it won't be worth it, instead the best option would be a turbo kit and a built gt motor

nope their was no noise or shaking... it was just leaking oil... then we brought it to the shop and they said the gasket is blown

Unless you lost all of the oil you should be ok. what gasket is blown?

hey whats up bro, to be sure that your motor is blown pull your oil pan and examine the oil for metal flakes and then the crank and rods for damage. If it is blown call me if your interested in a (05' 1zzfe) freshly turned crack and block, i just got them back from the machine shop. I'll give you a great deal. I know where your at i got an 05' and i'm about to do my 3rd drop-in a day or two. /call 858-231-9420 and if i don't answer just leave me a voicemail with your name and number.
