Re: More torque in a 02 Celica gts?
ah a super charger... Yea already put 91 octane gas in my celica. What kind of super charger would be the best for the celica though? I dont think ive ever seen one with a super charger before.

Re: More torque in a 02 Celica gts?
superchargers are too limited... the same amount spent on a turbo kit would result in higher gains

Re: More torque in a 02 Celica gts?
- higher octane will do nothing for performance on your application
- want torque get a v8 - seriously ive seen really nice results from supercharging. at the pressure the stock internals can handle. there will be better gains from supercharging as you will net more power across a wider band. |

obviously you've never used low and high octane on a dyno....from 87-94 you would find about a 5% increase in tq....which is greater than most intakes or simple exhausts...

Re: More torque in a 02 Celica gts?
no actually i havent. Ive only ever used high octane gas.
i state again using higher octane fuel will do nothing for performance. higher octane does - lessen's the chance of detonation (due to : higher static cr, higher dynamic cr[turbo, supercharger], higher cylinerd temps, etc) - is harder to ignite - if he runs say 87 an get NO detonation, thats all the power he is going to make. Yes there are 2.2l 3sgte's. i build them. do some reseach Last edited by klue : 11-15-2006 at 07:34 AM. |
