Question dropping vs. bodykits

Im thinking about giving my car some exterior style. Problem is I don't know what to get, lowering springs, or a body kit. Which one is cheaper, and what do you think looks best. Also what kind of bodykit / lowering kit would you suggest? How much drop? Thanx.

Re: dropping vs. bodykits

So how easy is this to install? I've never done any car work other than little stuff, but I am a hard-ass . Would I just slap those sombitches on there and get it aligned?

Re: dropping vs. bodykits

Well, I intend to do both, I just only have enough money for one of the two right now, so there's gonna be some time when i have one and not the other.

Re: dropping vs. bodykits

i would get both, but both are gonna be expensive. and how much are you wantin to spend, i dropped mine and i have the TRD lip kit on mine and it looks good. i would drop it either 2 or 3 inches and get some rims and do a tire tuck as well.

Re: dropping vs. bodykits

i spoke to joe about your car today....

drop it then turbo, then kit... paint and body work should never be done before project work because it will get scratched and damaged in the process and the charge piping may even require some cutting and fabrication be done.

Re: dropping vs. bodykits

^^ tru say.
scratches are inevitable if you're doing any kind of work on your car.

Re: dropping vs. bodykits

I don't have a bodykit but with the right lowering springs you don't need a bodykit I have tein s springs on my car now these springs will give you a (1.4 front) & a (1.3 rear) these springs are good for daily driving but I will switch over to the sprint springs which will give me a 2-in drop all around so with my new springs plus my 18's can you say Damn!
