neons in footwells?

I recently purchased a 2001 celica GT and really want to install neons in the foot wells.
I have some neons already, but they plug into the cig. lighter. I was just wondering if I could just strip the adapter of the end of the wires and attach the wires to the back of the cig. lighter behind the dash. I just dont want to be able to see the adapter.
Any input would be great.

Of course you can do that, or you can just buy piggy back clips for the fuse box that let you attach wires right to the fuse block.

underbody neons are bad looking but interior neons are nice at night they keep me awake and the illumination helps me eyes from the headlights sometimes

i agree with locker but at the same time, chicks love that shit and it doesn't hurt performance...

no matter how much chicks love neons I still wouldnt' put them in my car for the same reason I could never justify certain cars..... Martin ;)

I want the under car neon to light up when I unlock the car or open the door. Just to light up the area so I can see puddles when its dark. Some OEM put LED on side mirror pointing down to do smae thing.

Well i don't see what makes some of these cars girly. are the Celica and the Delsol etc. girly just cuz they're 4 bangers? I have never ever seen a girl driving a Triumph or a Alpha Romeo. Maybe its just my town but most girls drive either trucks or neons...
