Exclamation Odd celica behavior

2000 celica gt. car has about 100K. started car today and it was reving unusually high (3K and i was going 5 mph in first gear). I turned off the car and when i turned it on, revs went to 3k again and then dropped to zero, immediately. Car obviously dies when revs hit zero... does anyone have an idea of what this problem might be? I think maybe its the fuel pump? The only way for the car to keep running without stalling is to constantly be on the gas, even when i'm stopped at a light or a stop sign, as soon as i let off the gas, the car stalls. PLEASE HELP!!

You need to set your idle, or your throttle cable.
