axle problem (swap)

hi guys, im slightly new on the forum. i hope its not an insult that i drive an mr2? i actually signed up because i have sort of a technical question to ask.

theres a 2000 celica gt at work we're replacing an engine on. its only a 1ZZFE, and its automatic. we got the engine from a place in toronto for 900$ with 20k on it. the guy told us we would need to replace the passenger side axle with an 03+ corrolla axle.

reason being is that the engine we have now doesnt have a spot for the axle to bolt too to hold it in the tranny. and the corrolla axle has a clip on the end of the end to lock it in place

we got the corrolla axle yesterday, the problem is, that the tranny end, the spline is too small. so im looking to find out what car we can we get an axle from that will fit.

any help is greatly appreciated, we were hoping to have this thing out of the shop today
