Grating, ticking noise at around 3000rpm
I need some advice....please
I have a 2001 Celica. In the UK we call it the VVTi. It's the 140bhp version. Anyway, at around 3000rpm, I get a grating ticking sound from the engine. It's not got any worse, but can any of you guys let me know what the problem might be. Am I looking at loads of money to fix it, or is it a simpl fix, or do I ignore it. I had the car serviced in January and Toyota told me the problem was I was running low on oil. I have checked the oil levels religously and the problem still exists. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated  |
