that's stock and if you could see how convelouted that system is you would know that it's better to take the plastic out all together
as for ideal air setup in a celica... cold air is cold air.. make an air box in the same area as the the battery and relocate that to the trunk then remove the plastic ducting and use some hvac hose to bring up air to that opening and run that to the fog light area but do not put it in a "ram air posisition" just let it suck it in from there... ram air isn't helpful until mach one and trust me your car isn't that fast....
once oyu have this setup you should be starting to sound better and shouldn't have any fear of waterlock but as far as power goes this will only help your top end and withthe amount spent you really should have invested in an exhaust setup instead.
btw.. of all the mods i have now i would say the only one that was truly worth salt was the header..it makes the biggest diffrence and also make the rest of the mod's make sence...
