Unhappy slapping sound on passenger side of motor

i had a hole in my oil pan, so i fixed it. when i took the car out for a test drive, after about 15 min. i started to hear a slapping sound on the passenger side of my motor, only at high Rs. when i let up off of the gas the sound would slowly fade away. when i was cruising at 3000 RPMs the sound was only there if i was in 4TH or 5TH gear. when i pulled over i heard a screeching sound, which went away when i pulled the dip stick. Any ideas??

Sounds like something got fucked up. Has your motor ever ran without any oil? What type of 'fix' did you do to the oil pan?

Unhappy

the hole in the oil pan was a pin size hole. i patched it with some JB quickweld, i then applied a layer of this stuff called Quicksteel. im starting to think that something might have clogged something. as for the belts, the external ones are fie. they were just replaced two months ago. but i have a feeling that im on my original timing belt (154,753)

Re: slapping sound on passenger side of motor

I would change the timing belt and see what happens because when the timing belt is cold its very lose and has a tendency to slap, but yours might be worn out and stretched. I dont think the hole has anything to do with it , but if you ran it dry you could have spun a bearing (scratched the hell out of it). Have somone check that out and replace the timing belt. If you did not reinstall the second o2 sensor it would be fine, but a check engine light would appear. The second o2 sensor is for emission perposes I would suggest reinstalling it.
