Swap that thing to a 3sgte, get some LSD, and full coilovers.

what transmission would u use with a 3s-gte...is there a diference from the one found in the gt-four comapred to the one in the mr2?...is it a direct bolt in, if not what kind of modifcations must be done...and what is the general price of this swap

if you have a gt then its a direct bolt in, wiring will be your biggest nightmare, as well you will need a custom exhaust. You'll wanna run a v6 tranny out of a camry or a better more expensive option is a 93+ mr2 tranny with lsd. You can use the gt4 tranny but you need an mr2 tranny as you will have to convert it too work. And if your using the mr2 Tranny you have to move the shifter linkage arm to the other side of the transmition.

You can use your stock tranny if you have a gt. If you have an st you will need to move your drivers side mount, and regardless of the model you will need the gt4 front to rear cross member. You will need alltrac outter axles if you go with the camry or the mr2 tranny.

True, although if you truly didn't know what i meant, then it's pretty sad.

Acid would definitely be an improvement for the Celica though.

hmm, the 3s-gte swap seems like alot of hassle and time....what potential does the stock 2.2 engine found in GT hold?

^Slim to none. Not many people have gotten it over 200hp. It CAN be done, but you'll be spending more than it would cost to swap the 3sgte.

The only really hard part with the 3sgte swap is the wiring. You could probably pay someone to do it, including parts for around $4000 if you look around enough.

its not worth it if your not willing to put the work into it, if you have an st, look at throwing in an a series motor, like the 4age, or 4agze
