swapping front clip with curren

Hi all, new to the forums, I might be in the wrong section, sorry. I'm currently in Okinawa Japan, and getting anything from here to the states is too friggin' expensive, so I decided to try something different. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the Toyota Celica and Curren (year specific-94-99ish???) are ALMOST the same car. The only exterior differences are the entire front clip, and the rear hatch/window. What I'm thinking of doing, if the entire front clip is interchangeable, I'd like to bring back an entire curren front clip(front bodykit, aftermarket headlights, hood, and fenders) and put it on a Celica. But only if they're interchangeable. I believe Currens were only made in the early 90's, so I don't think there are any other generations. I've only seen the exact same style of every Curren I've seen, but it is soooooo close to the Celica, it was just something I thought was worth some thought Well, if anyone has any input on this, please feel free, thanx in advance,

Robert

I wouldn't have thought they were interchangable, but I could be wrong.

yep i'm pretty sure you can do it with not too much of a hassel
they're basically the same body style
i know a guy that is doing the curren front end on a 91 or 92 celica this winter...

good luck
i like the circle lights better than the curren ones though, i think they look similar to the camry lights

Since I'm in the military, there's a slight chance TMO will ship the parts for me when I move to the states :D YES! I'm going to find out tomorrow. And if I'm able to, I'll probably bring myself a JDM engine :D MUAHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! any ideas which eng I should get?? :D As long as it fits in a 6th gen Celica, I'll be happy

Robert

P.S. I'll also find out how much it would cost to ship through post office tomorrow

hmmm...........kinda hard to get info at the shops here when you don't know the language.............lol. I'm going to several salvage yards tomorrow, hopefully I'll find out how much the stuff will cost, finding a aftermarket front body kit sure is a pain. I know they exist though. I'll keep an eye out for those projector headlights lissa :D Oh yea, before I forget, I can get that engine in the states right? :D Dueces,

Robert

yeah you can definately get the 3sgte over here but if your shipping the front clip of a curren you might as hell add a turbo motor to the mix.

After looking at both pictures, I actually don't mind the curren front although it still looks like a camry...

Curren
