On hard Acceleration Sounds like 2 stroke?

The engine drives great at normal speeds you know normal shifting before 3 grand and every thing the engine sounds great ideals fine etc.

Heres the Problem

When I put my foot down and it starts to go over 3 grand it slowly starts to sound like a 2 stroke. You know how the sounds (insert sound here) and the higher in RPM i go the worse it gets.

The redline is at 6250 but when I hit about 5600 it goes from sounding like a 2 stroke to a 2 stroke pulling a semi. My rpms go no where and I lose all the horse power. I havnt kept my foot on the pedal long enough to see if it will push past but i have held it there for about 4 secs and it seemed to make no progress. I dont want to destroy the eninge.

Here are my thoughts

Can this be caused by the o2 sensor or maybe the throttle body isnt opening up all the way? or visa versa its not getting enough fuel.

Side note the time is on I have a timing gun and checked it.

check spark plugs and wires!

I am firing on all plugs. And the wires where recently replaced.

Air filter is clean? No blockage in the exhaust? How old is the fuel pump? I think your on the right track with the thinking of not enough air or fuel. No pinging at higher rpms right? Try premium fuel and see if it does the same.

hahaha do you know how funny your title looks! hahaha I get a hard on too when I accelerate but I don't quite get off after 2 strokes! haha sorry I have nothing revelant to contribute.
