You post too fast. That's the bumper crossmember support. There's a crossmember that usualy connects to the front. And that's where it hooks up to.

lol I know. Damn those battery's put out high output for 4years and still going? No wonder their so expensive, lol doubt your car ever got warn with a fan like that.

Weird cross members. Never seen them before, is it necessarily or can I just put the bumper on without it?

Re: 1996 Toyota Celica ST 25th. Anniversary Edition

Well I took some shot's of the Celi tonight, kinda dark out so hard to take good shot's but I guess these will do. I threw on the unpainted bumper for a temporary hold since my trash bags kept getting ripped. Looks bad but meh, it looks better then the bag. The mark on the hood is just the remains of the tape, but it's getting replaced so who cares. Here are the pics-

Here's the bay shot, dirty, messy, and a bit empty. Soon to change

Forgot to take a pic of the rad, but you all know how it looks here's the sticker on the box though. It's still inside, haven't put it on yet.

Re: 1996 Toyota Celica ST 25th. Anniversary Edition

looking good so far. If it were me id see if i could find like a 500-800 pod celi with a good front end and put the whole front clip on your car. cut your radiator suppor off cuz i see its bent and weld the donor cars on. youd have bumper, lights, fenders, hood, and anyother piece you might need in the future.

Re: 1996 Toyota Celica ST 25th. Anniversary Edition

I was planning to do that but I have no where to keep another car :/. I was planning to just remove everything off of it and then junk but no space at all to do this. Never taught about cutting it and then welding it though to be honest that's a real good idea.

On another note, parts still haven't arrived . Thinking about changing the VC gasket, and start cleaning up the bay, how much did the gasket run you?

Re: 1996 Toyota Celica ST 25th. Anniversary Edition

What engine is this? Is it the same as the motor our ST models bring? Anyway I can do this by changing heads or is this a full swap?

That 7AGE engine bay pic looks extremely messy,

And your poor Celi man, what happened to her? Her face is falling off.

I know it's bad the bumper was all cracked and broken when I got it since it was in an accident and all. I tried fixing it but no luck the bumper has lost it's shape. I just threw it on since the little kid's on my block kept ripping the bag. SO that's a temp. solution.

NO update till parts arrive. These parts all thank to members on 6gc

Re: 1996 Toyota Celica ST 25th. Anniversary Edition

I had a Optima yellow top for when I had my car stereo, was the best battery I've ever used or seen used for durability and how well it stood up to abuse. I remember it wasn't installed properly when I first got it and fell against the fan...it wasn't sitting hard against the fan so nothing broke, but it wore a small chunk off the battery casing. Battery still worked great 5 years later. Then, it sat in my old non-running subaru outside over the winter, want dead, a quick charge later and the battery worked perfect again.

Damn, now that's a battery. Still using it? Lol, I knew those things were built right, if I had the funds I would've gotten that instead.

Well I guess I spoke to soon, I have some update thanks to the neighborhood kids. They too taught that my bumper looked like crap so they decided to take it off, how? Well you see in the previous pictures my car is somewhat pushed all the way against the wall, and I guess even that couldn't stop them from being disgusted by my front end. They basically jumped off that little wall thing and landed right on my bumper and the other one landed on my hood. Finished braking the little tab things that hold the bumper and the other idk how he did it but broke the tabs off my remaining headlights well 2 of 3.

So now back with the bag....ughhh

Re: 1996 Toyota Celica ST 25th. Anniversary Edition

I wish, the parking spot isn't mine and the super of all the projects here told me if anything happened no ones responsible for anything. So I'm screwed, I saw the kids who did it I was looking out the window and then it happened. I live on the third floor , my brother went out running but kids were gone by the time he got there . I know they're not from around here so I pretty much have more issues to fix cause of some stupid ass kids.
