Who would of thought???

Alright guys...the craziest thing happened to my dear sweet celica the other day. it pains me to think of it.

I was cruising along a back road at night (a really curvy one) and was doing about 70 when all of a sudden (you may have guessed it) a herd of deer hops out into the road. well, i wasnt really planning on swerving because of the fact that there were many large trees on either side of the road and i figured that trees do more damage than deer do. well, as i got closer to the deer they began to run off the road, but one decided to stay and........die! yup i hit the deer, but thats not the crazy thing...cars hit deer all the time and they wind up doing some kind of damage. my damage though was odd...really odd and i would never think that it would happen. when my airbags blew (i failed to mention, but it happened) the PASSENGER AIRBAG DESTROYED MY WINDSHIELD!!! i could not believe it. it totally blasted the windsheild so bad that it was just about to fall in on me. i know it was the airbag because the windshield was sticking OUT and not in as if the deer went into it.
so my deal in all of this is, has anything like this happened to anyone with a 6th gen celica. mine in fact is a 95 celica st with the hatch and spoiler. did anyone know this can happen? if so let me know so i can share the pain.

sorry no pics yet...hope to get some soon...no camera. I did though fix the windshield the day after the angry airbag incident. A nice $250 it cost me.
To change the subject for a second. My car has 242,000 miles on it and i was talking to someone about the oil i use and they said, "you shouldnt use that kind because you dont get the right compression". The type of oil i use is 10w 30 fully synthetic. Its made by Castrol if that makes any difference. The guy said that i should use non synthetic and maybe a heavier oil. I continue to use the fully synthetic, but there now is a question raised.
