What makes a 6gen a gts?
From what i have seen there is no such thing as the 1994-1999 celica gts... am i wrong? Is there something that makes it a gts but it is not badged?

From what i saw, they only had gt and st, and the discontinued the st in 1999

well, i currently drive a Gen6 GT-S. Second owner of it. So, they just got rid of the "s" because it is just the same as of 2000+ celicas.

The US had only the ST and GT. In Canada they had the GT-S. Just like the 90-93, the GT-S is the better handling of the two. The GT had the sports option including better suspension setup which pretty much makes it a GT-S. So pretty much in the states you you GT w/Sports Option, which is the same name GT-S (S standing for Sport). So in other words the US doesn't have a True bandge GT-S.
