Canada Wiring "Gremlin" and Parts.

Hey Everyone,

Here is a question.... I have a '94 Celica GT-S and I have a "gremlin". When its cold or the car has been runnin for a bit, if I pull forward on the wiper arm for a quick wipe, my rpm goes up from 750 to 1000. That happens when the wipers move up. When the wipers come down, the revs drop to normal...... Why would it be doin that????

The second question is: Am I able to put any of the rims or other parts from the Gen. 7 Celica on my car???

Plesae let me know and thanks in advance.

Re: Wiring "Gremlin" and Parts.

I met a guy who put 7th gen TRD rims on his AllTrac (5th gen), but you gotta make sure the bolt patterns match with yours (depending on whether you have the 4 or 5-bolt series)

Re: Wiring "Gremlin" and Parts.

anything that takes power to run requires the alternator to spin, if the draw is great enough the alternator will bespinning too slow to keep the car running so the ecu is programmed to push up the rpm's when this happens....

7th gens have lots of swappable parts, seats, wheel, shift knobs, shifters, rims and more with custom work but really the same parts are available from the after market for less.

Re: Wiring "Gremlin" and Parts.

Okay. Well the only things runnin at the time of the snow storm were: the car, wipers ( when i needed them ), heat and the stereo was on low. Other than that nothing else was running. Even when i was sitting idle at a light and i did it. The rpm would move.

Canada Re: Wiring "Gremlin" and Parts.

Hey everyone,

Okay, so if my wheel lug pattern is 5 by 100, will the rims work from gen 7 celica's?? Also, if I wanted to do a motor upgrade or change it to something different. which motor would be best? And how much base horsepower does each motor have??

5SFE?
3S-GTE?
4AGE?

Let me know. My gears are goin and there is smoke coming out of my ears. Thanks in advance.

Re: Wiring "Gremlin" and Parts.

Hey there everyone,

Just have a quick question again.... What are the best spark plugs and wires for the celica's??? I will be putting in BOSCH Platnum 2's in with the BOSCH Spark Plug wires. Is there or would there be anything better to put in to the car?? I was told to go factory. A friend of mine drive a Gen 1 Matrix XRS. He has BOSCH in his motor. He is not having problems. Just wanted some input on what is good to put in the motor and not. I have never owned Toyota, so I am not sure whats good for their motors and whats not.

Thanks in advance for the advice.
