Calling All Celica Owners
I NEED YOUR HELP!!!
My celi was reciently totaled in an accedent (that was not my fault) and now I'm in an epic battle with the jerks at the ensurance company. what they are telling me is that because there aren't many on the market like mine, that I'm at the murcy of the there not so trusty data base of cars for sale. I spent 6000 on my celi and had another few thousand into it. They think it's only worth 5200. what I need from you guys is a few adds of celicas listed for sale by dealers for no less than $5200. obvioulsy the higher the price you can find the better. I'm probably going to buy another celica and thought that who better to ask for help then people that share my passion for these great cars. thank you all so much. Zach Vaughn |

Re: Calling All Celica Owners
you can pretty much forget about reimbursement for your modifications, unless you explicitly disclosed them all to the insurance company before hand, or if you had an appraisal done before you smashed it.
with that said, do some searching around on trader.ca, craigslist, kijiji, ebay canada, or use the google. its december, so i doubt there would be many up for sale at this time of year, but who knows. worst case, take the 5200 or whatever they give you and try to find a 6th gen from the States for much cheaper, due to the dollar parity. arbitrage bitch. ![]() |

Re: Calling All Celica Owners
I did actually inform the insurance company about all the mods and I'm being reimburst for most of it. they tried to offer me 4000 befor I told them about all the mods and the engin matinence (3000$ two days prior done by certified toyota macanic at the dealership) anything people know about insurance companies I know already. My mother has worked in ensurance for 20+ and I've been on the phone for hours with the people at State Farm.
all I need is comperable vehicles for sale I can look just as well as everyone else but maybe sombody will find something I missed |
