Stereo Problem!

alright, so i today i installed my kenwood stereo, which used to be in my previous car. i bought the harness and everything got it hooked up, and then when the birght and shining moment came to turn it on. NOTHING, it didnt turn on, clock was off, cig light didnt get hot, i check the fuses, the one for the cig light and radio( its says CIG & RAD) was popped, so i went a bought a new one. so now te clock and cig lighter work now, crossed my fingers for the radio too, but still no power. i am wondering still what to do! i ust recently bought this kenwood too. and the OEM stereo was working fine yesterday too, then i plugged iit in to see if that would work, but it didnt. pls help anyone. thanks in advance.

Re: Stereo Problem!

check the back of the deck for fuses, usually 15 or 20 amp mini fuses back there

Re: Stereo Problem!

did you check all the fuses? ive put in a few decks and sometimes other ones get burned out that you would never guess would effect it. check the fuses inside your car and the fuses outside usually under the hood

Re: Stereo Problem!

Was the antenna plugged into the deck when you tried to turn on the Kenwood deck?
