That is one nice setup, have to commend those MR2 guys on their mods. I for one say go for the 3SGTE swap, do all your research and use your resources on-line. And remember... get a CLIP. Unless you have tons of money... ![]()

kontonmizu, Have you pulled the old 7A-FE engine out? I would be interested in buying your MAP sensor if it's available. I would need to confirm the part # on it matches mine. Lemme know, thanks. casper0522@yahoo.com

His site is down right now, but a supercharged one would not fit under the hood without major modifications. The motor is angled back as well to have it fit properly. SBCelicaGT V6 celica is running about 190whp. This is the hardest swap to do, and keep in mind traction is a major problem no matter what engine you choose. Ratko is right the only 3sge engine worth dropping is the beams 3sge, very hard to find not really worth the money cuse its one of the harder swaps in terms of the wiring. |

1988 Celica GT-S came with the T-VIS motor (3S-GE), the GT came with the 3S-FE) The heads are differemt on the two. THe FE head is fuel efficient, the GE was made for more power. If you have that motor with T-VIS(Toyota Variable Induction System) Then you have a pretty good motor on your hands. It will directly fit into a GT, or GT-S car. If you have an ST, the motor mounts are different, and the "S" motor mounts need to be wleded in.

That's a BEAMS red-top (for obvious reasons) 3SGE. The 3SGE, like the other engines in the Celica, has gone through a variety of refinements. It started out producing around 110 HP in the late 1980s, went up to 160 HP with the 1990s, and in the later half of the 1990s breached 180 HP (red-top BEAMS) and 200 HP (black-top BEAMS).

since you have a 6th gen you will need to splice into your interior harness to get it to work. There is a write up at www.6gc.net under the engine performance section. If you have an st your gonna have a hard time.
On another note Chris D will do it for you for anywhere from 300 to 700 depending on which model celica you have. He can be found at www.celicatech.com
