e-bay mistake...your opinion please!

yesterday i bought a 90 celica gt-s on ebay only to find at the close of the auction that the car is actualy a gt (honest mistake in that seller took mod # off the owners manual) seller reduced price by $300.00 and i have agreed to accept the car. what do you folks think, how much better is a 5th gen gts than a gt?
thanks
brook

just the fact that the owner didnt have any idea what model it is would make me want to negate the deal. I mean who knows what else he did or didnt do with the car.

celicas of that era were very simple and have the same engines...the gt was lighter..but rear drums and a wider body would be the deciding factor..also many of the GT-S have sunroof's and the SYSTEM 10 stereo...

i would say the price shoul dbe at least 500 less but if you plan on making her fast you may have just saved your self some weight reduction

I have a GT, its 99% stock, so the better buy for me would have been the GTS. As Gouda said, the GT is lighter if ur modding, if not, definately go GTS.

nah....i modded my gts to be lighter than the GT anyways...

basicaly the GTS's in those days were worht the extra if you only look at the rims exhaust and wide body and breaks...

basicaly...GET AND ALTRAC....

my biggest regret in cars to this day is not holding out for one....

GTFOUR>ALTRAC>GTS>GT>GT COUPE

and if you want to put the convertable in there somewhere feel free...

GET AN ALTRAC!!!

^ agree, definitly worth waiting for, wish I had. You really have to spend a lot of time trying to track them down.
