steering wheel lock

As you know, when I retire the engine key from the keyhole, the steering wheel go up instantly by itself and when I reput the key in the keyhole, I must put the steering closer to me knee to be locked. I like this system. Do you thing it's complicated to reproduced the same system in other car or I can search for use steering column and try to remove the system to fit it new car???

If the other car was a Toyota Celica, then yes - otherwise, I'd say that such a modification would be difficult and potentially dangerous :)

The operation of this system is a bit crude compared with the motorised steering column of some luxury cars... but I agree, it's useful when the steering wheel is set to minimum height (as I like it).
