5sfe 5 speed swap, whos gonna post me the write-up???
Ok I have finally decided that I will get the stuff I need to make my atuomatic gt (2.2 5sfe as u all know, but some may not) a five speed. My friend that i got the car from has a gt parts car, and he only needs the rear end. So I am gonna ask him if he will sell me all the parts i need from it to make my car 5 speed. So anyone whos converted a 5sfe to a five speed before, please tell me what I need to do. :D thanks

The swap is definitely a pain in the arse but I have an auto celica and a manual, the manual is so much more fun to drive that I'm thinking about converting my auto. It all depends on what kind of car you want.

if it's not boosted why bother? you won't be able to shift faster anyways... only benifit is cornering control.

You can keep the gas padel down keep engine reving and brake with left foot.
ECT does down shift earlier then normal auto and up shift later. You can keep increasing throttle slowly to prevent it from up shifting too. |

I just want a 5 speed cause it would be funner to drive. And it would be the first manual car that I have had. My cars got over 200000 miles on it and i wanna give it the best before she dies :D and then if i get a motor swap and a turbo kit in the future, i can just keep the tranny
