where to perform an engine swap

I have a 1992 Celica AllTrac and want to swap out the engine with a JDM engine. I have located a JDM engine at Tiger Japenese Auto Parts in Toronto but need a place to perform the install. Does anybody know of a good place to get the swap done? And does anybody know about problems with the JDM engine not having EGR valves on it, where the NorthAmerican equivalant does (passing emmissions problems)? My current mechanic says that the JDM engine will not fit my car because of this...
Thanks!

JDM engine should fit in there.... but why would you bother swapping those? I mean, sure, there'll be a small difference, but it's not like you have a 5sfe now.

I dunno, just my thought. You should be ok to go though.

most alltrac motor are tired and old. Most of the guys I know with alltrac's are on their second motor. It was a high performance engine and most were drivin that way hence the new motors

It will fit right in, you don't need the egr stuff, as long as you run the stock downpipe, jdm motors didn't come with egr cuse they used better catalitic converters and they recurrculate the fumes back into the intake manifold. Make sure you take it to someone who knows what there doing. Not cuse there giving you a good deal.

I'm assuming that you're from toronto??..If that's the case..let me know..I know someone that will do the swap for you. A lot of people tried to do my swap before but ended up not knowing what to do until I brought it to a friend of mine and finished the job. Just so you know, all those mechanics own alltracs and a supra so they know pretty much all about it as they swapped JDM engines on their own cars.
