recently purchased hood!!

i just purchased a CS Carbon Fiber hood and it has that big hood scoop, if you can call it a hood scoop. well i have a 90 st and the scoop is there only for style. it's a big hole and it opens a hole for the engine. when it rains will it mess up my engine? i dont really know. any inputs?

On my RX7, I have a front-mounted intercooler. For that I had to remove the stock top-mounted intercooler and now the scoop is basically a non-functional "accessory"

My friend also removed his top-mounted intercooler on his WRX for a frount-mounted intercooler.

Niether of us have had any problems, but that isn't to say there won't be any. There are electrical components in the engine bay that, if not properly sealed, could short out.

Also, depending on the location of that scoop ...you could be increasing the pressure in the engine bay which effects performance ...though I am sure you are not looking for a performance gain.
