headlights loosing power, car shaking
I can see this whenever i stop at a red light, once i accelerate the shaking is gone, and the headlights are really bright once again. I already replaced the alternator.. any ideas?

Re: headlights loosing power, car shaking
Your battery could be weak and not able to hold a charge. I know once the car is running the altinator should be able to run the system but a weak battery still affects the proformance of the electronics.

Re: headlights loosing power, car shaking
Had the same with the headlights and alt finally gave out. I also had an issue with corroded terminals on my battery, I cleaned them several times and it would always come back. I replaced the alt and battery terminals (snagged the terminals from a 2002 Hyundai sonata at the junk yard) today and the dimming dash lights/headlights are cured as well as a slight miss on acceleration that I had every once in awhile? I would check the terminals and the ground and see if that helps. Just fyi I have 5sfe manual and I pulled 5sfe auto alt which everybody I called stated no other alt would work. It turns out that the auto alt is the same but 80 amps instead of 70. Also make sure they gave you the right alternator for your type engine.

Re: headlights loosing power, car shaking
If your alternators good, check your battery, your posts (tight and clean) and make sure your ground cable isnt too shitty to get good ground..

Re: headlights loosing power, car shaking
I have the same issue. Like the battery isn't getting recharged from the alternator and the cars power bogg's down and idle drops lower and lower. Then it'll fade out completely and die.
I replaced the battery and alternator but still no fix -__- |

Re: headlights loosing power, car shaking
I fixed the headlights problem.. the distributor o-rings were not replaced when the engine was swapped.. that was way 2 stupid from the mechanic.. i was an small oil leak. Now the other problem ( car shaking still continues).. whenever i'm waiting for the light... and the engine re. oscillate..
