Re: how to remove the Tie Rods?

Its as easy as the rules of life. Lefty loosey righty tighty. And if it doesn't work get a bigger fucking hammer. But all you do is remove the nutt. Don't try the bolt. Its keyed

Re: how to remove the Tie Rods?

sorry about all the questions, but the nut is off on the back side and now the whole thing is spinning, so i should hit the side the nut came off, while i turn on the other and the whole bolt come out?

Re: how to remove the Tie Rods?

Yeah. The hub will provide friction making it harder to get out.

Re: how to remove the Tie Rods?

Yeah. Only time I've ever removed it was when I pulled one at a junkyard lol. So it was nice and rusty.

That was the bitch nightmare I had to face when I did a brake swap. I used pb blaster in combo with a breaker bar and a cheater bar on top of that. Then I used a 500ft lb Ingersoll Rand Air Impact Wrench as well. Make sure you let it sit with pb blaster and spray the part thats open with the bolt.

You need to add a big pipe to that long breaker bar. Thats the only way I could get enough force to remove it.
