Re: How in the world do you take the dash apart?
lol you do it verry verry carefuly. its a pain in the ass. but firstyou have to remove all the lower sections of the dash. i recamend removing the steering column. theres four bolts on thw drivers side to remove the dash support 2 on the passenger side. theres more screw and bolts but i forget wherw they are. imo dont do it. its harder to remove than your motor

Re: How in the world do you take the dash apart?
i had to pull the dash back in August because my heater core sprung a leak, it took me prolly 5 hrs to get if off. here is what i did
1-pull the center colum out 2-remove front seats 3-drop glove box, and all the stuff under the steering wheel 4-disconect the 2 metal suports under the dash that are on each side of the center colum 5-drop the steering wheel and junk 6- remove bolts (this was the hardest) -here is a list of the ones i can remember 1. the ones on the sides by the doors 2. there is one inside the side vent on pass. side (the vent that cannot be adjusted) 3. cant remember but im sure in the middle to hold it to the center colum and finally the one that took me over 2 hours to find, its right dead center where the steering wheel was, way in back, up under the defroster vent tube for the wind shild, i had to pry the vent tube up to get a screwdriver on it |

Re: How in the world do you take the dash apart?
oh and for the heater controls you have to first go into the engine bay, and on the firewall right behind the TPS there are the 2 coolant lines, there is going to be a cable coming threw the Firewall that goes to your temp control valve, unhook that and tie a long piece of wire onto that, so you can pull it back out to the engine bay later, next on the drivers side of the center councel you will find another cable that also goes up to the heat controll valve, unhook that, then you should be able to remove the whole trim and heater control in one.
